The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) Training Academy has “accumulated
ammunition brass” that has been recovered from its gun range. The brass ranges in caliber from 9mm,
.40 S&W, and 5.56 NATO, with additional miscellaneous brass casings included. Currently, there is
approximately 10,000 lbs. of it stored in a storage building at the SAPD Training Academy Armory
located at 12200 SE Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78221.
