The San Antonio City Council voted in September 2023 to put $500,000 toward a Reproductive Justice Fund. “Reproductive Justice” is a term coined by the National Black Women's Reproductive Justice Agenda and encompasses the right to have children, the right to not have children and the right to nurture children in a safe and healthy environment. With this RFP, the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District (Metro Health) seeks to address some of the following upstream, midstream and downstream gaps in San Antonio’s reproductive health landscape.
