The City of San Antonio Solid Waste Management Department (SWMD or City) seeks proposals from qualified Vendors to provide disposal services of primarily Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and potentially other special wastes. The MSW may consist of trash, bulky waste, dead animals and other such MSW as defined by the State of Texas Solid Waste rules. Special wastes may consist of infrequently collected items and incidental items mixed with MSW and may include light bulbs, chemicals, asbestos containing materials, radioactive materials, dirt and rock. The City does not currently collect special wastes and is not planning to start such a program. But there may be incidental needs to dispose of those materials during the term of the contract.
